Visualizing a New World: The Surprising Importance of This “Simple” Act

It is so easy to fall into despair with the current state of the world. News is coming at us with shock-horror after shock-horror, on repeat. Some of this bombardment is focused on desensitizing us, and wanting us to feel isolation, despair, and overwhelm so that we can continue to be controlled. Our nervous system is not meant to process the volume of the news that we are assaulted with. And even those of us with best intentions can get looped into the news as though we are watching an active train wreck. It’s got the gravity to put us into fight/flight/freeze/fawn (and you can learn more about what to do with that here). It is likely also having many of us wonder about reality, conspiracy, and what kind of a world we are leaving for our children.

There are so many ways for us to engage with what is happening, and sometimes it’s rest as an act of defiance, as rebellion to our bloated capitalistic society. I do think that we all have different roles to play in the world right now. Some of us, like the brave Minnesotans who have endured ICE, go to the front lines. This is needed. Others will be making calls, writing letters, sharing information. This is needed. Still others will be boycotting brands that are associated with keeping the wealth gap in place (and to grow it). This is needed. Others might be less visable; praying, performing rituals for freedom and peace, reaching out to neighbors. This is needed. Others are creating art. This is needed.

I want to voice my opinion that this is not a time to villainize folks who may be engaging less visibly, or to judge others who appear to be more quiet. We may feel resourced to engage in a lot of the acts as listed above, and other times, we may need rest, and to be less visible. The power lies with our intention.

Speaking of intention, I wonder what’s possible when more people begin to really get curious and intentional about visualizing the type of world that we want to inhabit? We can and should be doing this, as it holds more power than many people can imagine. With this visualization practice, we don’t have to worry about how or when it might happen, we just need to believe that it is possible. I know that I have said this before: the chances of creating a new world is far more possible from a state of chaos than from a place of stability. What if this chaos is serving a larger purpose? What if this is cracking us open (in a painful way) that shows us that there is no going back to how things were…and what if that is a great thing?

Much of what is happening is not new. It has just been hidden, tucked into the shadows, chalked up as dark conspiracy. War is not new. But maybe now, we are beginning to have the collective eyes to see more; the man behind the green curtain, as it were. And this all must be witnessed before we can collectively shift out of the insanity and into a more coherent world. As painful as it is. And we can limit our consumption of news and events to preserve our sanity. This is not the same as burying your head in the sand, in my opinion. It’s knowing your personal bandwidth, and honoring it.

Here are some tips for navigating each day, and for visualizing a new world:

  • Every time you engage with the news, feel off, feel irritated, or drained, call your energy back to you. You can use this statement: “I call my power back to me now, across time and space, multiple dimensions and parallel realities, cleaned and cleared. I break all contracts made consciously and unconsciously. I send my energy to the center of the Earth to further balance and alchemize it. I call all of my energy back into my body to hold a high and balanced vibration for my own benefit, and the benefit of humankind.”

  • Engage in grounding practices daily. Be in nature. Take a salt bath. Enjoy grounding foods like root vegetables, meat, and dark chocolate.

  • Use the symbol with this blog post: Global Healing / Global Frequency Shift*. You can doodle it, meditate with it, paint it, and place it on your altar. Use it when visualizing a healed Earth: water, air, and soil restored and cleaned, people living harmoniously in sovereignty and equitably, with practices centered in kindness, curiosity, and the positive development of humankind. Do this daily, or multiple times a day. Do it when you are scared, overwhelmed. Anchor your energy into the Earth, and visualize. How good can our world get? Use as many of your senses as possible when visualizing. What will the Earth smell like, feel like? What will the water be like? How good will you feel when people are acting with kindness? Visualizing this way helps to create more neuroplasticity in our brains, and it can also make things manifest.

*The Global Healing / Global Frequency Shift is a symbol from Auric Light Alchemy that I channeled in 2021. The symbol contains energy, frequency. Working with it specifically is a powerful way to anchor your energy with this specific intention, and receive support and connection to the blessed/healed Earth.
